Vietnam Era UH-34D to Land at NMMC
Triangle, VA Visitors will get an up close look at a Sikorsky UH-34D today in the Museum's parking lot. The helicopter, which carries the markings of HMM-361 and is a veteran of Operation Starlite (18-24 August 1965), will land at the Museum at approximately 2:00 p.m. today and remain on display until approximately 4:00 p.m., at which time it will take off for its final flight, ending at the Museum's Restoration facility on Marine Corps Base Quantico.  Marine Helicopter Squadron 361 Veteran's Association will be presenting the UH-34D to the Museum during a brief ceremony at 3 p.m.  Everyone is welcome but remember that all times are dependent upon weather conditions.
